Summary
Saeko Nogami is a striking detective affiliated with the Tokyo police force who frequently leverages the City Hunter team to handle her casework. Although she habitually promises Ryo repayment in the form of mokkori, she consistently finds ways to evade this obligation. Despite her deceptive nature, Saeko shares a significant history with Ryo, having previously been entangled in a love triangle with him and Hideyuki Makimura. As the daughter of the police chief, Saeko enjoys considerable autonomy in her professional conduct. However, outside of work, her father exerts pressure on her to marry. In the Angel Heart spin-off, she is depicted as a high-ranking police officer who previously dated Hideyuki Makimura and was rumored to be awaiting his proposal. Later chapters reveal that her true aspiration is to build a conventional family with Ryo, signaling a shift in her romantic affections.
