Summary
Genius is a twelve-year-old child prodigy from Iselia who stands at 142 cm tall and weighs 41 kg. He serves as Lloyd’s best friend and is the younger brother of Refill, a schoolteacher in Iselia. Both Genius and Lloyd are half-elves, yet they present themselves as pure-blooded elves to evade racial prejudice. Following events that led to their exile from Iselia, the two join Colette on her Journey of Regeneration. During their travels, the pair faces discrimination in Tethe'alla, which sparks in Genius a deep-seated hatred toward humans, although he quickly recalls that his companions are human as well. A talented cook comparable to Regal, Genius harbors an immediate and intense crush on Presea Combatir upon first seeing her. Although he attempts to conceal his affection initially, his feelings eventually become obvious to the rest of the party. In battle, Genius utilizes powerful elemental magic, channeling his spells through a kendama which he employs to focus his power and strike down enemies.
