Summary
As a third-year student at Fujigaya Girls' Academy, Kawasaki belongs to the elite drama club and has been cast as Catherine in the highly anticipated production of Wuthering Heights. She initially basks in the spotlight and flattery that come with playing such a prominent role. However, she eventually grows uncomfortable with the constant chatter surrounding her and the lack of privacy, a feeling that persists even after the performance concludes. Students around the school have begun referring to her as "Catherine," mirroring the way they nickname Sugimoto Yasuko as "Heathcliff." Following graduation, Kawasaki departs to study in England. Rumors spread rapidly that she is boarding with Yasuko, causing the entire school to erupt in excitement. The school newspaper even sensationalizes the story by claiming that the drama stars have "eloped" to England, though this is merely the student body’s enthusiastic reaction to the idea of their beloved actors studying abroad together as roommates.
