Summary
Also known by the name Rosa Canina, a reference to the Dog Rose, Shizuka serves as the lead vocalist for the school choir. Yumi encounters her initially unaware that Shizuka is the candidate opposing the Yamayurikai. She harbors deep admiration for Sei, which has evolved into romantic feelings for her schoolmate. However, Shizuka conceals her emotions, knowing that Sei would likely reject her advances. Later developments reveal that Shizuka has developed an interest in Shimako, Sei’s petite soeur. This fascination may stem from a desire to understand the type of girl the elusive and lonely Sei chose to adopt as her sister. When Sei confronts Shizuka, asking if she would have preferred to be Sei’s soeur, Shizuka sadly confesses that she would not have, clarifying that she wanted something more from Sei. Shizuka departs Lillian at the end of her second year to pursue a singing career in Italy. She reunites with Yumi during the Lillian school trip to Italy, where she acts as a guide, showing Yumi and the other second-year girls around.
