A, known as Ei in the Viz translation and Ay on English television, served as the Third Raikage of Kumogakure, a title that literally translates to "Third Lightning Shadow." He held this position thirty years before the Fourth Shinobi World War and is widely regarded as the greatest Raikage in the village's history. He made his manga debut in Chapter 494 and appeared in the anime series Naruto Shippuuden during Episode 244.
