Summary
Osoi was a genin-level shinobi from Kumogakure and the father of Musai. He previously fought alongside Toroi, a partnership that ended with Osoi’s death in their final battle. Orochimaru later mistakenly used the Impure World Reincarnation Technique to bring Osoi back, intending to summon Toroi instead. After Osoi clarified the error, he and Kabuto agreed to retain him as a reserve asset. During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Kabuto deployed Osoi, considering him one of his weaker pawns, to help unseal stronger combatants. In the midst of a skirmish between Kabuto’s summoned forces and the Allied Shinobi Forces, Osoi encountered his son, Musai. After sharing a brief conversation, he was sealed away. When the reanimation technique was eventually nullified, his soul was released and returned to the afterlife. He made his anime debut in Naruto Shippuuden Episode #316.
