Summary
Dr. Lom Flanagan is a physician affiliated with Zeon’s Flanagan Institute, an organization dedicated to the study of Newtypes. He plays a key role in the research and development of the mobile armor Elmeth, working closely with its pilot, Lalah Sune. His visual design underwent significant changes during the franchise's history; while he appeared differently in the original TV series, main character designer Yoshikazu Yasuhiko created a new look for the movie trilogy. This revised design has remained the standard representation of the character since then. Additionally, his full name is revealed to be Lom Flanagan in the light novel adaptation of the original series.
