Danny
Summary
Danny is a teenage Mamodo who forms a quick friendship with Gash. Their paths cross when Danny, who was tasked with guarding a sculpture dating back more than three centuries, steps away briefly to purchase fish donuts. During this short absence, a gang manages to steal the statue from under the watch of Danny’s book reader. Gash assists Danny and the book reader in tracking the criminals to a town dock, dispatching Umagon to fetch Kiyomaro for additional support. Kiyomaro arrives promptly and helps the group resolve the situation. Just as the conflict appears resolved and Gash and Danny prepare to enjoy sushi together, the gang’s leader escapes police custody and hijacks a truck. The vehicle is overturned, threatening to crush everyone present. Danny heroically lifts the heavy truck to prevent it from destroying the historic sculpture. Gash faces a difficult dilemma: allow the truck to fall on Danny and his book, or use a spell to destroy the vehicle, which would simultaneously ignite Danny’s book. Ultimately, Gash chooses to destroy the truck, resulting in the loss of Danny’s book. Danny is subsequently returned to the Mamodo world, feeling no sorrow but rather a sense of pride.
