Summary
Jefferson, known as Tick, is a young man characterized by a constant smile and a pair of scissors. The son of a clockmaker, he was sold by his stepfather to a young Luck Gandor to settle a $2500 debt that his stepfather could not repay. Tick assists the Gandor family by eliminating their enemies. He harbors an obsession with scissors, utilizing them as instruments of torture for the Gandor brothers' mafia operations. His younger brother, Tock, was kept by their father, who escaped the city with him.
