Summary
Obito Uchiha served as a teammate to Kakashi Hatake and Rin under the command of the Fourth Hokage. He had a habit of arriving late to missions because he stopped to perform random good deeds, a behavior that annoyed Kakashi. Obito also harbored romantic feelings for Rin. During the Kakashi Gaiden arc, when Rin was kidnapped, Kakashi, acting as the team leader, prioritized completing their mission over rescuing her. Obito disagreed, asserting that those who abandoned their comrades were worse than trash, and eventually convinced Kakashi to help save her. In the ensuing battle, Kakashi lost his left eye to an enemy ninja, prompting Obito to awaken his Sharingan to save Kakashi and defeat their opponent. After locating Rin, Obito pushed Kakashi out of the path of a rock slide, suffering severe injuries to his right side in the process. With no way to escape, Obito had Rin transplant his remaining Sharingan eye into Kakashi’s damaged socket as a gift.
