Haibara, Yukio
Summary
Haibara spends his days smoking, fishing, and reading in silence, a stark contrast to his puppet Johnny, who does all the talking. Johnny frequently refers to Haibara as useless or entirely dependent on him, leaving one to wonder if the puppet is merely echoing Haibara’s own self-perception. The two have resided at Narutakisou for a considerable time. Haibara’s enigmatic history is intricately tied to Kozue, whom he deeply cares for. It is only for her sake that he ever breaks his silence to speak for himself, and even then, it happens just once.
