Zusammenfassung

Rivalz Cardemonde, ein siebzehnjähriger Krebs mit AB-Blutgruppe, geboren am 20. Juli, ist einer der engen Freunde von Lelouch. Er bringt Lelouch häufig mit seinem Motorrad herum und nutzt die Fahrten als Einsatz bei ihren Schachpartien. Rivalz arbeitet nebenbei als Barkeeper und Kellner und hegt unerwiderte Gefühle für Milly Ashford, die besonders deutlich werden, als die Nachrichten über ihr bevorstehendes Heiratsinterview bekannt werden. Nach dem Beitritt zum Schülerrat auf Lelouch’ Bitte hin knüpft Rivalz rasch Freundschaft mit Suzaku, eine Bindung, die in der Hauptserie sowie in den exklusiven Bonusinhalten der DVDs dargestellt wird. Sein aktueller Nachname Cardemonde ist eigentlich der Mädchenname seiner Mutter, den er annahm, nachdem seine Eltern auseinandergegangen waren.
