Summary
Sanetoshi Watase is a enigmatic figure with a mysterious interest in Himari. Initially introduced as the omniscient librarian at the Central Library's "Hole in the Sky" branch, he assists her in accessing books containing her past memories and is responsible for placing the penguin hat on her head. After Himari’s second death, he reappears in the role of a doctor, charging exorbitant fees for the dark pink medication required to sustain her life. Although Himari frequently seeks his counsel, she is often unsettled by his words and treats him with coldness. He identifies himself as being from "the destination of Fate" and is accompanied by two black rabbit subordinates named Shirase and Souya. His signature phrase is "Isn't it electrifying?".
