Summary

Ritsuko Takahashi serves as the head teacher for class 5-2 at Doumori Elementary and is widely regarded as the school's madonna, a term denoting a beautiful, unmarried woman. While she is a serious and dedicated educator, she possesses an edgy sensitivity toward the unknown, particularly the spirits and youkai that frequently plague the school. This trait creates a complex dynamic with Nube; her striking appearance fuels his desires, but her hypersensitivity to the supernatural leads him to constantly tease her, resulting in her wrath. Initially, Ritsuko is the last person Nube expects to end up with romantically, often rejecting his advances due to her fear of his spiritual obsessions. However, as the story unfolds, she gains the courage to confront youkai threats and comes to appreciate Nube’s efforts to help students and others. Her growing affection for the male teacher draws the scorn of Yukime, a yuki-onna who views herself as his true love. This love triangle between the two teachers and the spirit girl becomes a central theme in the manga’s later chapters, forcing Nube to navigate his emotions and decide whom he wishes to spend his life with.
