Summary
Hailing from a secluded rural area deep in the mountains where electricity was nonexistent, Soujuurou Shizuki arrives in the city with the demeanor of someone trapped in a time slip. Although he is captivated by urban life, he is still in the process of adapting to the routine of ordinary high school existence. Characterized by his taciturn nature, Soujuurou offers a warm contrast to the personalities of Aoko and Alice, proving to be a stable individual who is easy for others to grow accustomed to. He tends to maintain silence even when holding strong convictions, occupying a middle ground between being special and being entirely normal. While he generally appears happy, he can exhibit a cold demeanor that fits the trope of a good man on the surface but with hidden depths. Upon his initial arrival, Soujuurou lacks a defined self and does not fully qualify as human, as he lacks the subjective filtering that allows normal people to choose what to perceive or ignore. He possesses no innate framework for judging value or distinguishing between good and evil, forcing him to gradually adjust to human societal norms over time. This evolution sparks conflicting views among his companions: Alice desires for his fundamental way of thinking to remain unchanged, whereas Aoko considers his continuous transformation to be dangerous.
