Natayama, Miri
Summary
Miri Natayama typically maintains a blank, unexpressive face, yet she is prone to sudden, violent outbursts of emotion, primarily anger. Her exceptional talent in shogi leads her to treat less skilled opponents with harshness, as she is accustomed to looking down on others. Deeply proud of her abilities, she abruptly left the Shogi Club when she felt her efforts went unacknowledged, a decision that jeopardized her scholarship despite her claim that she does not blame the weak but rather those who fail to strive for improvement. This behavior highlights an immature side, exemplified by her petty revenge against the Shogi Club. However, following the Student Council's intervention, her social skills have begun to improve, allowing her to build a better rapport with club captain Sasae Mochibaru. Miri Natayama appears exclusively in the anime adaptation.
