Mushoku Tensei III has taken the top spot in Animate Times' latest reader questionnaire tracking what fans plan to watch this summer.

The site's intermediate results for its "2026 Summer Anime Recommended Works Ranking" placed the long-running isekai series first overall, ahead of a strong field of returning sequels.

Saga of Tanya the Evil II followed in second, with The Elusive Samurai Season 2 at fourth and The Old Man from the Countryside Becomes a Sword Saint II in third. The opposites-attract rom-com Hantai na Kimi to Boku Season 2 rounded out the top five.

Lower in the top ten, Hell Mode's second season, Oni no Hanayome, and Skeleton Knight in Another World II also drew notable support, signaling broad interest across action, fantasy, and lighter fare as July premieres approach.
