Synopsis
Every child deserves a joyful and carefree childhood. Unfortunately, life doesn't always work out that way, as Mary Lennox discovers. At a very young age, Mary loses both parents to illness, leaving her traumatized and alone. She is brought from India to England to live with her uncle, who becomes her new guardian. Though sad about her parents' death, Mary feels happy and thankful to have someone caring for her. She gets to eat every day and lives in a huge mansion—things she knows she shouldn't take for granted. But her uncle is a very quiet man who barely speaks to anyone. This loneliness often bores Mary to tears, forcing her to relive terrible memories from her past. One day while taking a walk outside, she stumbles upon a secret garden near her home. Together with her new friends, Dickon and Martha, and her disabled cousin Colin, Mary sets off on an adventure that is sure to brighten her dull life to the utmost extreme!
