Synopsis
This is an adaptation of the Future Card Buddyfight trading card game. The story is set in a more futuristic version of the present day, where the Buddyfight card game connects to a parallel universe through special cards known as Buddy Rare Cards, which act as portals. These portals bring monsters from that universe to Earth so they can form bonds with humans as buddies. Through friendship and courage, people of all ages engage in challenges called Buddyfights—friendly, harmless competitions. The protagonist, Gaou Mikado, has just begun playing Buddyfight. As the story unfolds, the Buddyfights start becoming a little too real...
