Synopsis
The OVA anime release Marriage includes two 30-minute segments directed by Miki Kasamatsu, centered on love and the search for a romantic partner. The first story follows a group of young women who, a few years after leaving school, start contemplating settling down. One friend, Shizuka, lacks any romantic prospects, and her companions worry that her shyness will prevent Mr. Right from noticing her beauty and personality. They convince her to sign up with a dating service called The Wedding Club, but when her initial match turns out to be quite disappointing, Shizuka begins to wonder if walking down the isle simply isn't meant for her. The second episode focuses on five sisters, only one of whom remains unmarried. Moreover, the aloof Kiyomi appears completely uninterested in finding a husband. Her sisters have different plans, and when a male coworker asks Kiyomi out on a date, the women persuade the suitor to propose marriage that very same evening. This proves easier said than done, however, since Kiyomi's demeanor can be quite intimidating. The young man might ultimately fail to carry out the scheme, and even if he does, there is no certainty that the headstrong woman in question will accept.
