Synopsis
Historically, humans and Beastmen have been locked in conflict because Beastmen can transform using their genetic "Beast Factor," which forced them into hiding. Anima City was founded as a sanctuary where these oppressed individuals could live without human interference. However, during a festival celebrating the city's tenth anniversary, Michiru Kagemori—a human who recently turned into a tanuki—realizes the city is far from the utopia she expected. After an explosion in the town square, she is intercepted by Shirou Ogami, an invulnerable wolf who serves as the sworn protector of all Beastmen. Together, they hunt down those responsible for the attack and uncover that Michiru has strange abilities and a hidden past, raising the question of whether she might be the crucial missing link between humans and Beastmen.
