Synopsis
Kakushi Gotou is a manga artist of moderate fame, known for producing content considered lewd. Because of this risqué material, he made a promise when his daughter Hime was born: he would never reveal his true occupation to her, convinced she would lose respect for him if she ever learned the truth. This obsessive fear drives Kakushi into frantic predicaments. Though raising Hime alone as a single father, he gives his all and frequently goes to absurd lengths to safeguard his secret—dressing up as a salaryman every morning or staging surprise drills in case Hime accidentally stumbles upon his workplace. Kakushigoto follows this father and daughter as they live side by side, trying to preserve their quiet everyday life while the father struggles to keep things unchanged. Yet as the old saying goes, "time reveals all secrets." Eventually, Hime must come to terms with the truth behind the things she had always taken for granted as she grows older.
