Synopsis
Hinako "Hina" Sakuragi, raised in rural Japan, becomes extremely nervous around new people—so much so that she freezes up like a scarecrow. Inspired by a theatrical performance she saw during a school field trip, Hina hopes to conquer her anxiety by getting into theater. She moves into Hitotose Manor in Tokyo and enrolls at Fujiyama High School, intending to join its acclaimed theater club. However, Hina soon discovers that Fujiyama High's theater club has been inactive for a long time. Having already relocated to Tokyo and started school, she is uncertain of her next step. Noticing her disappointment and desire to learn theater, Chiaki Hagino—the landlady of Hitotose Manor—suggests that Hina start her own troupe using the manor's residents as cast members. Hinako Note follows Hina as she adjusts to life in Tokyo and learns the basics of theater, all while relying on the encouragement of her new friends.
