Synopsis
A fresh academic term starts at Ayanagi Academy for Yuuta Hoshitani and his fellow members of Team Ootori. With the school's yearly graduation presentation, "Shadow and Lights," drawing near, the second-year students in the Musical Department must take part in the show as part of their coursework. Among the twenty-five pupils in the division, five will be selected for training roles, allowing them to perform alongside the graduating class. Securing one of these desirable positions not only boosts a student's academic reputation within the department but also places them in contention for a seat on the elite Kao Council. Although every student in the department strives to earn one of the five training roles, Riku Ageha of Team Yuzuriha stands out as a near-certain frontrunner for the part of Alexis' Shadow. Having admired an Ayanagi alumnus's interpretation of Alexis, Ageha has dedicated much of his life to perfecting that portrayal, hoping to be chosen for the production. Meanwhile, Hoshitani's limited background in show business leaves him at a notable disadvantage for any of the roles in the show. Guided by specialized training from the "Ancients"—former Kao Council members and Ayanagi alumni—the second-year students give their utmost effort as they reach for the stars and beyond.
