Synopsis

Midori Asakusa perceives the world in a unique way. Constantly carrying a sketchbook, she fills its pages with intricate landscapes and backgrounds drawn from both her surroundings and her vivid imagination. Even a simple doodle on a wall can transform into an emergency repair of her spaceship's outer hull. She is only pulled back to reality by her best friend Sayaka Kanamori. The two are complete opposites: Asakusa's childlike curiosity contrasts sharply with Kanamori's pragmatic, strategic outlook on life. After a chance meeting where the duo "rescues" young model Tsubame Misuzaki from her overprotective bodyguard, an immediate bond forms between Asakusa and Misuzaki, driven by their shared deep passion for art and animation. While Asakusa focuses on backgrounds and settings, Misuzaki loves drawing the human figure. Spotting a chance to make money, Kanamori proposes they form an animation club, disguising it as a motion picture club since the school already has an anime club. This marks the start of the trio's quest to create animation that will captivate the world. From the inventive mind of Masaaki Yuasa, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! is a tribute to animation, wildly imaginative in its execution, and a celebration of the medium's possibilities.
