Synopsis
A chance childhood meeting between Mira Kinohata and the stargazing dreamer Ao Manaka sparked a lasting bond. Though their time together was brief, Ao introduced Mira to the wonders of astronomy—orbiting planets and distant stars. Before parting, Ao revealed that a star bears Mira's name, but none exists for Ao. Mira then made a promise: one day, she would discover a new asteroid and name it after Ao. Years later, Mira's passion for astronomy remains strong. Enrolling at Hoshizaki Academy, she attempts to join the Astronomy Club only to discover it has been merged with the Geology Club into a single Earth Sciences Club. She joins and is pleasantly surprised to reunite with Ao after years apart. Alongside their new clubmates, Mira and Ao begin their journey to fulfill their promise. How hard could finding an asteroid possibly be?
