Synopsis
In the Send-Off Department of the Japanese Angel Federation, Dandelion focuses on Angels Tetsuo Tanba and Misaki Kurogane as they hurry to find Earthbound spirits—souls that cannot move on and find rest—and gently help them pass over. The angels struggle to accomplish their everyday duties. Yet Tetsuo Tanba and his superior, Misaki Kurogane, who form the 21st Division's Dandelion Clan, decide to proceed at their own pace: rather than hurrying through assignments, they devote time to each spirit, hearing their regrets and aiding them in settling what keeps them bound. One day, they come across the Earthbound spirit of an elderly man who is sprinting at full speed, trying desperately to get away.
Background
Dandelion adapts a 2002 Hideaki Sorachi one-shot that was included in volume 1 of the Gintama manga.
