Synopsis
Devilman centers on Akira Fudo, a timid and shy teenager who goes mountain climbing in the Himalayas alongside his father. During the expedition, both father and son lose their lives in a tragic accident. Akira's corpse is then taken over by the demon soldier Devilman, who adopts his new human appearance as a disguise to carry out his mission: sowing chaos on Earth to prepare for a demonic invasion of the planet. However, before Devilman can truly begin his task, he encounters Akira's childhood friend Miki Makimura and swiftly falls in love with her. Devilman decides to shield Miki and all of humanity by fighting against his own demon kind. Zennon, the leader of the Demon Tribe, is furious at Devilman's betrayal and immediately dispatches his former allies to eliminate him. The other demons soon discover that Miki is dear to Devilman, forcing him to defend both her and himself. Can the strength of love triumph over genuine evil?
