
Synopsis
At the age of nine, Yohan, along with his mother and sister, is forcibly taken to a notoriously brutal political prison camp in North Korea. The camp's harsh violence slowly strips away his innocence, even as the rest of his family struggles to hold onto their humanity and compassion for others. Years later, after being shattered by the sudden and tragic death of a loved one, he begins to reconsider the purpose of his existence—all while fighting to endure the most terrible living conditions imaginable.
