Synopsis
After a devastating loss to Kyoichi Sudou, leader of Team Emperor, Takumi Fujiwara's AE86 suffers an engine failure, leaving the talented street racer questioning his own abilities. Now a high school graduate, he is approached by Ryousuke Takahashi, leader of the Akagi RedSuns, who proposes forming a professional street racing team. While joining would be an ideal opportunity to grow as a driver, Takumi remains unsure. Can the young racer rise to the level of a professional? With Ryousuke and the RedSuns' help, he may confront his doubts and misunderstandings about street racing—but first, Takumi wants to settle the score with Kyoichi Sudou.
