Synopsis
Risa Koizumi and Atsushi Ootani are an unlikely pair when it comes to love: Koizumi stands at 172 cm, far taller than the average high school girl, while Ootani is only 156 cm, much shorter than the average guy. Their struggles deepen when the people they have crushes on end up falling for each other, leaving them both comically upset and heartbroken. To add insult to injury, their homeroom teacher dubs them a comedy duo because of their personalities and extreme height difference, and their classmates treat their arguments like comedy sketches. In Lovely★Complex, Koizumi and Ootani support each other in their search for romance and grow into close friends. Beyond their ridiculous banter, they discover they share unexpected similarities in music and fashion tastes. Perhaps there is a hidden chemistry between them—but can love ever blossom for this mismatched pair?

The North American distribution company Discotek released a Blu-ray for the series on January 30th, 2024, which was also the first time the series was dubbed in English.
