Synopsis
Before entering Seishuu High School, track star Katsuya Niimi and judo champion Susumu Karasawa witness a girl crying as the school's baseball team loses a game. Determined to make her smile, the boys join the team to help it improve. The girl is Yuri Nakao, daughter of the baseball coach, and the pair learn that the team will be disbanded if it doesn't start winning. The story follows these three, plus pitcher Eiji Kurahashi, as Niimi and Karasawa learn the sport and what it means to be one of nine players on a team, working together through high school to reach Koushien.
