Synopsis
Tucked away in a run-down building in Tokyo's alleyways lies a detective agency that accepts any job. Operated by the youthful Rem Ayanokouji, the office handles strange cases where the worlds of dreams and demons overlap. Assisted by her two animal companions, Alpha and Beta, Rem uses her abilities to enter the dreams of her clients and confront their problems—along with the demons that torment them—directly.
Background
Dream Hunter Rem was originally supposed to be a hentai OVA, but the first episode proved so popular that the following two episodes were released for the general market, with episode one being redone as a non-hentai "Special Version," with the sex scenes removed. The original, hentai episode one was never released on LaserDisc or DVD.
