Synopsis
In the 25th century, a spacecraft with 300 passengers departs Earth to find a new world within the solar system. However, an unforeseen mishap causes them to fall into a black hole linked to a different universe. The crew are ejected in an escape capsule and end up on the planet Ismo. The narrative starts twelve years following their arrival on Ismo. Ismo is a planet in the Onam System, analogous to our Solar System. It remains the sole planet in that system. A comet known as the Death Star Yomi periodically nears the Onam System. Originally, the Onam System had eight planets. Long ago, during the age of gods, a war was fought against the wicked monster Yamatano Orochi—an eight-headed serpent. The gods emerged victorious. They sealed Yamatano Orochi into eight stones, each buried deep within a planet's core. No one was meant to access those cores. But Tsukuyomi, an evil god ruling Yomi, managed to retrieve the stones one by one, destroying seven planets with his powerful robots called Sky Warriors. Yet, when he attempted to take the final stone from Ismo, his mightiest Sky Warrior, Susanoo, went rogue and was blasted away. A million years later, the Death Star Yomi approaches the Onam System once more. Tsukuyomi, Yomi's master, sees this as his chance to fulfill his ambition of universal domination. He urgently seeks the final stone containing Yamatano Orochi. Obtaining it would revive the monster and grant him its power. To capture the stone, Tsukuyomi requires the Sky Warrior Susanoo, so he dispatches eight Sky Soldiers to retrieve it. However, they are too late. Susanoo now belongs to Takeru, a 13-year-old Earth boy who accidentally unearthed the buried robot and awakened it from its million-year slumber. Takeru gets drawn into the conflict against the Sky Soldiers and their evil overlord Tsukuyomi. Susanoo rises to defend his friends and their planet.
