Synopsis
In the Chinese imperial court, the stern Emperor Xiao Jinyun and the spirited Empress Xu Yu clash constantly. However, fate intervenes when a freak accident swaps their bodies, forcing each to literally step into the other's role. As they juggle unfamiliar responsibilities, manage court politics, handle unruly concubines, and govern the realm, the emperor and empress must preserve their identities. Through this ordeal, their unique traits and unconventional skills find new outlets, gradually fostering mutual understanding and compassion. But grave dangers lurk both inside and outside the palace. If the imperial astrologer fails to discover how to reverse the swap in time, the resulting suspicion and internal discord could lead to the pair's ruin.
