Synopsis

Continues the story of Broken Blade

Rygart Arrow stands apart from the people of the continent of Cruzon—he cannot manipulate quartz, earning him the label of an "un-sorcerer." Despite this, he forms friendships with Hodr and Sigyn, the future king and queen of Krisna, as well as Zess, the younger brother of the Athens Commonwealth's Secretary of War. Years later, Rygart learns that a conflict is brewing between Krisna and Athens. While visiting Binonten, Krisna's capital city, he discovers that his disability as an un-sorcerer allows him to pilot an ancient Golem—a feat impossible for those who can wield quartz. As Zess leads one of Athens' assaults on the capital, Rygart enters the battle with his newfound ability, hoping to heal the rift between the two nations.
