Synopsis
After publishing a photo that triggered a wave of online harassment, freelance photographer Kouya Madoka lost everything: his wife Saeko Yukihira, his self-assurance, and his nerve to photograph people. Years later, a work assignment introduces him to the thrilling realm of Formula 4 (F4). A single intense battle between amateur drivers in the junior open-wheel racing category proves enough to make Madoka unable to set his camera down. When Komaki Motors' Haruka Asahina breaks down in tears on the track, Madoka manages to capture that vulnerable moment. This photograph eventually leads Madoka to a rash choice: he will help sponsor both the Komaki team and Haruka himself. However, the sport's exorbitant costs quickly force Madoka to rethink his goals, and he looks for alternative ways to support the severely underfunded F4 team. Despite the steep challenge, Madoka's resolve for Haruka to succeed might be the spark that drives the young racer straight to the top.
