Synopsis
Freelance photographer Kouhei Morioka heads to a castle in Germany to capture evidence of paranormal activity for his friend Hiromi Anzai, who edits an occult magazine. Inside the castle, he encounters a young girl in a white dress with cat ears, who introduces herself as Hazuki. She takes an immediate interest in Kouhei and tries to kiss him, but instead reveals her true nature as a vampire, biting him and turning him into her servant. However, to Hazuki's surprise, Kouhei remains unaffected by her bite. Wanting to escape the castle and her controlling butler Vigo, Hazuki forces Kouhei to assist her. With the aid of his powerful exorcist cousin Seiji Midou, the pair manage to flee safely. Once free, Hazuki travels to Japan searching for her mother. Shortly after Kouhei returns home, he finds that Hazuki has taken up residence in his house, and he reluctantly allows her to stay. Meanwhile, other vampires set out to locate the missing Hazuki. Blending gothic and adorable elements, Tsukuyomi: Moonphase is a charming and mystical tale in which two unlikely companions form a unique bond as they try to defy a society of immortals.
