Synopsis
On Naral Island, a realm of magic and adventure, a Demon Lord rises each generation, only to be defeated by a chosen Hero—a cycle repeating endlessly. The latest Hero, Juulia "Yusha" Charldetto, is nearing the end of her quest alongside her party: the dependable priest Seiran "Seira" Élénoir, the mysterious mage Meiza "Mei" Endust, and the energetic warrior Fai Fai. During the final confrontation with the Demon Lord, Yusha's party attempts a dangerous spell to banish their foe through time. The spell misfires, hurling Yusha and her friends back to an era before the Demon Lord's emergence, before Yusha became the Hero, and even before they graduated as adventurers. With no memory of their future, the four girls resume their dream of forming the Hero's Party and defeating the Demon Lord. Yet, the Demon Lord was also sent back in time, retaining her memories. Now in the form of a little girl, she adopts the name Mao and becomes a teacher at the adventurers' school, scheming to stop Yusha before she can become a hero. This sets the stage for Yusha and her friends' journey to vanquish the Demon Lord, unaware that their target is hiding right beside them.
