Synopsis
A century ago, the immortal Tian Quan slays the Mirage Lord in combat, causing the Mirage Spirit to vanish from the realm of Cangshuo. But Tian Quan's soul is left damaged, and she forgets everything about that fight. Afterwards, she descends to the mortal world to tend the lands of Cangshuo and takes in the immortal bird Li Xiao as a pet. Li Xiao soon assumes human form, and Tian Quan is struck by how much his looks and mannerisms resemble her past love Shao Weili. Li Xiao is gifted with the ability to recognize hundreds of medicinal herbs, and he roams about healing the sick and saving lives in Tian Quan's stead. When Tian Quan notices Li Xiao has been absent from home for several days, she travels to Luoyi Town to find him. To her shock, every resident of Luoyi Town has been slaughtered, and the Mirage Spirit has resurfaced. Tian Quan and Li Xiao join forces to combat the Mirage and resolve the town's calamity. As Tian Quan pieces together her fragmented memories, she begins to suspect a likely link among her deceased lover Shao Weili, Li Xiao, and the Mirage she once vanquished.
