

Synopsis
A prodigy of the Saotome "Anything-Goes" martial arts school, Ranma Saotome is training in China with his father when they accidentally fall into a cursed spring. From then on, splashing Ranma with cold water transforms him into a girl, and only hot water returns him to his male form. His troubles multiply when he learns that his father has arranged his engagement to one of Soun Tendo's three daughters to secure the Tendo dojo's future. Despite discovering Ranma's curse, Soun presses ahead with the plan and chooses his youngest daughter, Akane—a skilled martial artist with a well-known distaste for boys. Ranma ½ chronicles the comedic exploits of Ranma and Akane as they clash with a series of rivals, attract new romantic interests, and constantly find ways to provoke each other, all while their unwanted engagement looms over them.
