Synopsis
The anime centers on five young women who practice rakugo storytelling, chronicling the peculiar events they encounter in their daily lives. Their conversations are filled with comedy and satire, touching on everything from trivial observations about ordinary existence to politics, manga, and beyond. Each girl contributes a fresh perspective, and the dialogue never concludes where it began. Every rakugo performer boasts a distinct personality: the energetic but immature Marii Buratei; the seemingly cute Kigurumi Haroukitei; the inherently lucky and carefree Tetora Bouhatei; the calm yet violent Gankyou Kuurubiyuutei; and the pessimistic, unstable Kukuru Anrakutei. These girls—along with their enigmatic friend who wears a wrestling mask—share their observations with the audience, whether behind the scenes at the rakugo theater or at various famous spots around Tokyo.
