Synopsis

After their time in Yorknew City, Leorio Paladiknight and Kurapika look into reports of a boy with crimson eyes—a possible survivor from the once-prosperous Kurta Clan. Kurapika holds out hope of finding kin beyond himself, but an attack by someone resembling a childhood acquaintance leaves him blinded. Leorio treats Kurapika’s injuries and contacts Gon Freecss and Killua Zoldyck for help in retrieving Kurapika’s eyes. Their search brings them face-to-face with the Phantom Troupe, the very group that slaughtered the Kurta Clan five years earlier, targeting them for their distinctive red eyes that grow more vivid when enraged. In Hunter x Hunter Movie 1: Phantom Rouge, the team sets out to reclaim their friend’s eyes and capture the culprit, leading them to uncover secrets from the Phantom Troupe’s past. They also meet a girl whose presence seems connected to the mystery.
