Synopsis
When a shape-shifting demon craving human flesh, called a "youma," appears in Raki's village, a solitary woman with silver eyes enters carrying only a sword on her back. She is a "Claymore"—a being created as half-human and half-youma, specifically to wipe out these monsters. After Raki loses his family, the Claymore saves his life, but he is then exiled from his village. With no place left to go, he tracks down the Claymore, known as Clare, and chooses to accompany her on her travels. As they move from settlement to settlement, slaying youma along the way, more details about Clare's organization and her fellow fighters become clear. With each village cleansed and every fiend destroyed, they draw nearer to the youma that Clare has sworn to avenge ever since she decided to become a Claymore.
