Synopsis
As the 21st century begins, Japan finds itself in a period of financial and political decline. Seeking to rejuvenate the country, the military develops a new generation of battlefield weapons—mechanical suits called Tactical Armor (TA). While these suits offer greatly enhanced mobility, they impose severe strain on their operators, and only a select few can manage them effectively. Yuushirou Gouwa is one such gifted pilot, possessing a rare natural skill for controlling these machines. As the fourth son of the influential Gouwa family, he is well acquainted with the reach of powerful authority. His prowess and understanding of the TAs are soon put to the test when other nations and factions race to create their own combat-ready versions of the technology. Matters take a grim turn when Yuushirou encounters a mysterious girl, who warns him about the future that could unfold if he awakens a "terror." Though he attempts to follow her advice, his own family may be more deeply entwined in the escalating conflict than they reveal.
