Synopsis
Masane Amaha and her daughter Rihoko are fleeing from a government child welfare agency determined to separate Rihoko from her mother. They are apprehended, and Rihoko is taken away. At the same time, Masane is attacked by an advanced weapon capable of disguising itself as a human. Confronted with the threat, a mysterious light emanates from her wrist, transforming her into a formidable entity. She destroys the weapon and, as a result, gets drawn into a power struggle among powerful organizations, all of which have their sights set on her. This is because she wields the ultimate power: the legendary Witchblade.
Background
Witchblade is based on the American comic book series of the same name. Although it is set in the same universe, the story and characters are entirely new.
