Synopsis
Haruka Sakura has been an outcast since childhood because of his unusual appearance and inability to connect with others. The harsh treatment he endured, however, turned him into a skilled fighter—the only thing he takes pride in. When he enrolls at Furin High School, a place rumored to value strength over academics, his sole ambition is to become the top dog. The day before school starts, Sakura gets caught up in a street fight and meets a group of his future classmates. Instead of pushing him away, they fight by his side, revealing that the school's true purpose is protecting the town of Makochi from harm. For this reason, the students call themselves "Bofurin." Surprised by the townspeople's support and gratitude, Sakura struggles to accept their kindness. Unaccustomed to being treated with goodwill, Sakura must overcome his discomfort when Bofurin faces formidable enemies. After experiencing what it feels like to be accepted, he fights for the sake of others for the very first time.
