Synopsis
The terrorist group Optimums has imposed a harsh rule over Sacco City, a home to thousands of immigrants. Since seizing power a year ago, they have passed new laws and relabeled immigrants from the Far East as East Refugees. He Jiang, a quick-tempered young woman, accompanies her father He Chang Feng as he makes deliveries across Sacco City in their truck. One day, the Klee, a military police force, arrests them for carrying a sword. During the confrontation, He Chang Feng is fatally shot, and his daughter is sentenced to eight years in prison. After finally being freed at age 24, He Jiang—with assistance from new companions—locates her abandoned truck and restores it. As she once again takes on delivery jobs around the city, she encounters numerous obstacles. Facing discrimination from the Department of Security against herself and other East Refugees, He Jiang is compelled to resist, but she will require more allies to have any real chance of succeeding.
