Synopsis
Three decades after Lynn Minmay’s efforts to secure peace between the Zentradi and humanity in the events of Macross, the story shifts to Nekki Basara. As the guitarist and vocalist for the band Fire Bomber, Basara resides in the less-developed regions of the flying colony City 7, which is currently searching for a habitable world. He composes and performs music under the conviction that it possesses a profound, transformative power. When an unidentified alien species emerges and lays siege to City 7, their assaults prove unconventional; rather than destroying their targets, they steal "spiritia," leaving victims in a zombie-like, unresponsive state. Amidst these conflicts, Basara consistently ventures into the heart of the battlefield, singing his songs in the hope that both allies and enemies will listen and be moved by his music.
