Synopsis
In a reality where the human realm and the demon world intertwine, people stroll through streets unaware that youkai walk among them, concealed from ordinary sight. Yurine, a youthful woman, and her servant, the Karas, have long preserved the equilibrium between these overlapping dimensions, ensuring demons do not disrupt human existence. Yet, as humans grow arrogant and dismissive of the supernatural, forgetting the blessing of living in peace, an elder Karas named Eko becomes disgusted by this hubris. Rejecting his past duties, he assumes a human guise and commands an army of mechanized demons, the Mikura, to wage war against humanity. Otoha, a young man, inherits the Karas powers and joins Yurine, who states his soul summoned her during his mortal life. Residing in the demon sphere, Otoha must validate his role as a Karas to restore the balance Eko endangers. Concurrently, superstitious detective Sagisaka and his logical new partner, Kure, investigate the murders committed by Eko’s forces and a rogue Mikura called Nue. This chain of events triggers a prophecy leading to a profound revelation for the entire city.
